Standing all Day

I am getting better at walking every day. Today I have been using every toy I can find to stand up and then taking a few steps. The lawnmower has been very beneficial to get into that standing position. Soon, I hope I can run.

Josiah Walks!!

Ok - So Josiah's mommy is not as artistic as Daddy, but, hey, she also has a helper for this video making process.

New skill

Why dump out your toys to play with them when you can climb in with them? They are all right at your fingertips and so much easier to throw this way.

First Halloween

Tonight I went trick or treating with my friends Jorja and Jade. Mommy would not let me go up to the doors and get candy, so I refused to smile the whole time. Jorja and Jade had a good time. Jorja walks like a pro. She sets a good example for me. And Jade is a wonderful helper. He helped my daddy hand out candy. It was a fun time.

Even my daddy dressed up as a farmer to carry his little chicken around.

Cuisin' for a Bruisin'

Everyone has told my mommy that I would have way worse bruises once I was walking than I could ever get before. I guess they were right. While showing off my walking ability to Daddy, I tipped over into the fireplace hearth. Thank God it was Daddy home and not Mommy. She probably would have made me go to the hospital and get a CAT scan. Daddies are way better at handling little boy owies than mommies are any day. I am glad he is home now.

Weekend with Grandma and Grandpa

Daddy was at a conference this weekend, and Mommy had to work, so Grandma and Grandpa came to babysit me. It was a lot of fun. We went to Lake Michigan and watched a semi take a boat out of the water. I think I might like this boating stuff Grandpa.

Then I showed them how to play peekaboo with a dust ruffle. I am pretty good at hiding underneath the day bed and scaring my family.

My grandparents also got me this cool lawnmower. Here I am telling Grandma about the creeping charlie in my yard and how it takes over everything. It was a wonderful weekend. I even learned how to walk. (Mommy will try to get some video of that to show off.) I was very happy that Grandma and Grandpa could come and hang out with me all weekend.

Halloween Preview

Grandma Karen made me this awesome chicken costume for Halloween. Although I am having a few issues with the head (I am in the no-hat stage), I love my costume!!

10 Months Old Today

I have decided it is time to walk, so I am practicing with everything in sight. Last night I circled the coffee table almost 50 times, holding on with only one hand. Here I am demonstrating my skills on the crib. Grandma and Grandpa will be visiting this weekend, so I think I will take this opportunity to walk when Mom and Dad are both gone. That will teach them.

Nonni's Visit

I forgot to tell you that Nonni came to visit me 2 weeks ago. She helped Mommy and Daddy can grape juice and we went to the art museum. The best part of all, Nonni taught me how to walk with my wagon. I raced everywhere in the house. Today I have been practicing walking upstairs, pushing my koala bear and sock monkey up and down the hallway. This is such a neat new skill.

Weekend with Dad

Well, another weekend with Dad has come and gone. A busy one. I went to the Doctor Saturday morning for a 103 fever. I got some medicine. I pee'd on my Dad's shirt when we were waiting in the checkout line at the pharmacy. I also did some "walking". I can do that now, when I hold onto stuff. Like my little wagon. Or my highchair. Or the vacuum cleaner. Or Mackenzie. Oh, we made a video of some of the action - but no walking. I'm too fast for the camera.....

It still fits

Grandma Karen made me this outfit for my baptism. Mommy was worried that she was too late to put it on me. Luckily it still fits.
