Shhhh...don't tell Joss...

Since we went to Nonni and Pappa's last week, Joss hasn't opened his presents from Santa yet. Luckily, that worked out well for me, since I just finished this up today....Dad.

Of course, I had to take it for a test ride to make sure everything worked right!

Sickness Hits Our House

Daddy had a tummy ache this weekend, so I learned what real men do when they do not feel well. Make sure you have the volume on to hear my sound effects.

Newest Cousin

This is my newest cousin, Naomi. She always has a lot to say to her mommy, April. Naomi is sure a lot of fun. Mommy says we are going to be having a baby too. I am still not sure what I think about having a baby at our house all the time. However, I did not get jealous once when Mommy or Daddy played with the baby. I even was a big helper and kept giving Naomi her pacifier when she spit it out. After the 10th time in a couple of minutes, Daddy would not let me help anymore. He said that she did not want it anymore, but I was not convinced.

Cousins

I had a wonderful time playing with my cousins, Isaiah and Naomi, this week. Isaiah and I put on a drum concert for Naomi.
We played with boxes
and Legos.
Then we settled down to watch a movie.

Christmas Time!

We went to Ohio to see Nonni and Pappa for Christmas. My Uncle Noah and Aunt April were there, with my cousins Isaiah and Naomi. My Uncle Nate was there with his girlfriend Toni. My Unlce Jared was there too, but his fiance did not come visit - he did bring his dog "Layla" though - I had a good time chasing her. I had lots of fun playing with Isaiah, and hanging out with Nonni and Pappa. On Christmas Day, my great Grandpa and Grandma Cotterman came to visit, along with my great aunt Suz, and my Dad's cousins - Heather (and her husband Jason), Gretchen, and Rachel. It was a lot of fun. My Uncle Seth and Aunt Janell couldn't make it out from Oregon - but they mailed presents for me and Isaiah. My Unlce Jared videotaped us opening them....

If my Dad or Mom get a chance to edit them, I'll probably have some more pictures to post too.

SNOW!

We have a lot of snow. And by a lot, I mean totally a LOT. Pappa Cotterman didn't believe it, from what I hear, so we took some photos today to show him what we're talking about! While we were outside, we played and did some other things too.

This is a pile of snow where my Dad used the snowblower to clear the sidewalk - it's taller than ME! Way taller!

This is how deep the snow in our yard is - up past my elbow, almost to my shoulder. And this, after it was 45 degrees last weekend - my Dad says it's a good thing we had a little melt between the snowstorms.

This is my and my Mom, cheesin' it up for the camera.

The snow was too deep for me to walk:

My Dad actually laid down in the snow, and made something he called a "snow angel"...personally, I think he's a bit weird.
I thought my Dad might need some advice on using the snowblower, so I showed him how this crank turns the chute.
After that, I rode around the driveway on my sled. I don't like to go down hills yet, but I'm working up to it.
When we were in the back yard, we saw a big bird, which my Dad and Mom called a Hawk. It was pretty cool - my Dad whistled, and we got to see it fly away. I hope it comes back!
We also saw a rabbit on top of our firepit. Do you see it?
How 'bout now?
Well, that's about it for now...Bye Bye!

Birthday Party

In lieu of a birthday party, Mommy and I had a play date at an indoor playground. It was a lot of fun, after I got over the initial shyness. Of course, Mommy forgot to take pictures until everyone had left. My friends Bodi, Emma, Joelle, Turner and Kolton all came to play. It was a wonderful day. Kolton and I even played peek-a-boo with the play house. Despite all of the activity, I did not take a nap. Mommy was pretty wore out when we got home.

I also got this neat Play Doh set from Pam, a friend of Mom's. It is very fun and tastes awesome. Every kid should get Play Doh for his second birthday.

Birthday Boy

I am 2 today, although Mommy claims I started acting 2 months ago. I had my check up at the doctors. I am now 24 lbs 6 ozs and 34 inches tall. I have moved into the 10th percentile on the growth chart. To celebrate, I got McDonalds for lunch and I ate 3 whole chicken nuggets. Pretty good. Mommy let me help frost the cake when I woke up from my nap. Tonight we get to open presents when Daddy gets home from work. It has been an excellent day.

Breakfast Time

Breakfast is by far my favorite meal of the day. I am a huge fan of pig-in-the-pokes/frog-in-the-hole/hens-in-a-basket. (Mommy and Daddy debate what they are really called.) I will typically eat 2 eggs and an applesauce. Sometimes I eat the toast, sometimes I don't. The only gross part is that my hands get all sticky with egg yolk, and I do not like being messy.

Christmas prep

Mom still is attempting to get a cute picture of me for her Christmas cards. She gave me a snow globe to play with, but I still would not smile. I also lost the ability to use my legs after this picture and spent an hour sliding around on my belly. Mom called it "low crawling" and said I would be a good military man. Whatever. Photos are no fun anymore unless I am taking them.

Bad to the Bone

I got this Harley jacket last year from Jackie, Mommy's friend. Too bad a boy cannot smile when he is in his motorcycle gear.

Long Time, No Posting

I know it has been a long time since Mommy put any pictures up for you. We were having camera issues and every picture my mom takes, I am showing her my cheesy grin. So let me catch you up on all that has happened.

Aunt Faithe and her boyfriend Jamie came to visit us this weekend. Daddy and Mommy went on a date to the hospital holiday party. I had a lot of fun with Faithe and Jamie. On Saturday we went to a cool art exhibit at the Milwaukee Art Museum. It was all this interactive stuff. I like the floor exhibits the best.

Aunt Faithe and Jamie also helped us rearrange everything. I am now in my own big boy room. It is pretty cool to have my own space with a door I can shut. Mommy is still making me nap in my crib though. I do not know why she does not like me playing in my room when I should be napping.

Photo Session with Mom

Mommy tried to get a cute picture of me today to put on the blog.
First, I decided I needed to eat my dino.

Then I became "Cheesy the Wonder Kid."
Finally she was able to get one semi decent picture of me after taking 73 silly ones. That Mommy sure is persistent.

Temper Tantrum

I got a little frustrated this morning when I could not button my own overalls. Here is the resulting tantrum.

Halloween Party!

Yesterday was Halloween. We went to a party at the house of one of Dad's work friends. I got to stay up past my bedtime and it was fun. They had a pool table with lots of balls to roll around, which was really cool. Plus, I got to be Skippy Jon Jones again!

This is me and Dad getting our costumes on:

This is our whole family dressed up. Mom was an oven, with a "bun" in it. Daddy was a chef.

Later, at the party, Mom's costume served double duty as my entertainment. Take a look at the cool burners on the stove. Mom made those:

Costume Inspiration

Since every teenage girl thought I was also a girl yesterday, I thought I would share the inspiration for my costume. (Apparently it is not manly to be a kitty when you are a little boy.) I was dressed as Skippyjon Jones, a Siamese kitty boy who thinks he is a chihuahua. It is my favorite series of books. Skippyjon has all kinds of adventures, fighting bumblebee banditos in Mexico or venturing into a pyramid to see a mummy. You all should read the books. They are the best!!

Trick or Treating

Yesterday it was horridly cold, so the plan was to sit in the warm house and hand out candy in my costume. But that is no fun for a little boy.

So we all bundled up warm (thank goodness for polar fleece costumes) and headed out around our block. It was just too hard to ignore the candy in my bag whenever I was not getting candy from a neighbor.

Needless to say, I got a little wild when we got home. But it was sure fun to see everyone in their costumes. I think I like this Halloween stuff.
