First County Fair

We went to the county fair. I rode in the wagon and shared french fries with Mommy. I will admit I was scared of the loud rides that spun people over my head and the draft horses. But I did get to try elephant ears and cotton candy. It was the best.

My friend Anthony showed me where there were lambs and bunnies I could pet. I thought the bunny was pretty cool. Anthony is walking like a pro now. Daddy was sure glad to get to see his friend Kevin.

Cousins

This weekend we went to Ohio for Uncle Seth and Aunt Janelle's wedding reception. I got to play with my cousin Isaiah. He is a big brother now, so he is really good at including me in his games.

This is my new little cousin Naomi. I did not get jealous when Mommy and Daddy held her.

Little Brother!

That's right. As you all know, I'm going to be a big brother. But, this morning Mom and Dad and me went to the hospital for an ultrasound, and found out that Little Sib is a BOY! The ultrasound thing wasn't much fun (I had to sit and behave for a long time), but the pictures are pretty cool. Dad says they combine xyz coordinates to get a 3D image. He also says that next time he's going to ask them if he can have a 3D copy of the scan on CD. I'm not sure how letters combine to get a picture....but whatever - it's still pretty awesome!

Headlamp

Daddy went on a business trip this week and brought home this cool headlamp for me. Now I can help grill in the evenings.

Of course, it is awfully fuin just to shine the light in your eyes, and your mom's eyes and the cat's eyes... I think you can see what I have been doing all afternoon. It sure is nice to have Daddy home. I missed him. Mommy just does not know how to make car noises.

Chores

I am into mimicking whatever Mommy and Daddy do. Yesterday I pushed my lawnmower inside my cage while Mommy mowed the yard. (Yes, it is a cage folks. She calls it a gated play yard for my "safety", but I know the difference.) Today, I vacuumed the upstairs while Mommy pushed the bigger vacuum. This new interest in chores could be to my parents advantage.

Skippyjon (Josiah) Jones

Grandma Karen made me this awesome costume so I could be Skippyjon Jones for Halloween. I am not too fond of the mask yet, but I think I will get used to it.

The best part of the whole costume is the tail. I was torturing Hunter (Grandpa's morbidly obese tomcat) with my tail. This was before he viciously attacked me.

Corn on the Cob

2 times Awesome = ?

It's been a pretty good weekend. Two awesome things happened:

First, my Mom finished the matching hats she was making for me and Dad, and the temperature was finally cool enough to try them on;



Second, we had sweet corn last night, and Mom and Dad finally let me have it on the cob. First they gave me Mom's half eaten ear of corn (even though I told them I could handle it, I don't think they believed me), and then they let me have my own "mini" ear, which was obviously just one half of a big ear. But, it was still pretty cool!

Lawnmower Security Blanket

For the past three days I have been making my mommy lug this lawnmower upstairs and downstairs and trying to convince her it should run errands too. I have been mowing the carpeting, the couch, and even the cat. Can a lawnmower be a security blanket?
